A Public Information Meeting will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 6:00 pm at The Royal Canadian Legion -Bowser and Area concerning the Zoning Amendment application affecting the property located at 850, 860 and 870 Spider Lake Road in Electoral Area 'H', legally described as Lot 10, Block 347, Newcastle and Alberni District, Plan 34021 (see location map).
The applicant proposes to rezone a portion of the subject property from Rural 1 (RU1) B to Rural 6 (RU6) D and another portion from Rural 1 (RU1) B to Rural 1 (RU1) CC to, under the "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987", to facilitate a three lot subdivision: One 4 hectare lot and two 2 hectare lots in size.
The purpose of the Public Information Meeting is to introduce the proposed change in parcel density and to invite comments from the public regarding this application. Please note this is not a Public Hearing. A summary of the comments received at this meeting will be provided to the Electoral Area Services Committee and Regional Board as part of the application review process.
